Meet Our Team
Kay Van Hoesen, Flipping Founder
Originally from Central New York, Kay moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in 1986 and loves it!
Kay became a real estate appraiser and eventually built the largest residential appraisal firm on the Grand Strand, Certifax Appraisals. At one time, Kay had a staff of 13 women employees; she personally trained each appraiser and helped them start their own successful careers.
Wishing to wear flip flops day and night, at home and at work, Kay realized they looked unprofessional and there was no way to dress up her favorite footwear. So, she set out to change that. After a couple years of trial and error, Kay opened her Design Center at home, developed the patent-pending Bling Maker® system, found a manufacturer, surrounded herself with positive, creative people, and launched Flipping Bling.
Her passions are her pets (her home is always filled with dogs and cats), promoting women and helping them succeed, her grandson Eli, sushi, and Flipping Bling. As Kay puts it, just because you’re wearing flip flops doesn’t mean you can’t look polished and put together.

Flipping Creative Director
elizabeth is an award winning New York contemporary artist, illustrator, writer, and peace lover who wants her art and words to make a difference in the world. She’s an habitual animal rescuer and former stand-up comic and writer. elizabeth’s NYC advertising career was in the editorial and creative departments and her clients included Bloomingdales, Merrill Lynch, Doubleday, and Fortunoff. Carolyn Breece
Flipping Bookkeeper and Admin Asst
By day, Carolyn’s a bookkeeper (we call her Eagle Eye). She’s also a certified travel agent who loves to take cruises as well as book them for other people. By night and weekends, she’s a wife, mother, Grammy and fisherwoman. This gal loves to be outdoors and by, on, or in the water. Carolyn is also a connoisseur of Mexican food and Margaritas.
Devin Alexander
Flipping Operations Support Manager
Devin’s primary responsibility is overseeing Flipping Bling website updates and interaction with social media sites. Her extensive corporate experience includes working as a former U.S. Senate staffer to support management at Peterbilt and Genuine Parts Company (NAPA). Devin’s hobbies include woodworking, stargazing, and loving on her little dog, Tiger. Oh yeah, her other hobby is helping people–you won’t find a bigger giver than Devin.
